TB NETBible YUN-IBR Ref. Silang Nama Gambar Himne

1 Raja-raja 14:29--15:5

Konteks

14:29 The rest of the events of Rehoboam’s reign, including his accomplishments, are recorded in the scroll called the Annals of the

Kings of Judah. 1  14:30 Rehoboam and Jeroboam were continually at war with each other. 14:31 Rehoboam passed away 2  and was buried with his ancestors in the city of David. His mother was an Ammonite named Naamah. His son Abijah 3  replaced him as king.

Abijah’s Reign over Judah

15:1 In the eighteenth year of the reign of Jeroboam son of Nebat, Abijah 4  became king over Judah. 15:2 He ruled for three years in Jerusalem. 5  His mother was Maacah, the daughter of Abishalom. 6  15:3 He followed all the sinful practices of his father before him. He was not wholeheartedly devoted to the Lord his God, as his ancestor David had been. 7  15:4 Nevertheless for David’s sake the Lord his God maintained his dynasty 8  in Jerusalem by giving him a son 9  to succeed him 10  and by protecting Jerusalem. 11  15:5 He did this 12  because David had done what he approved 13  and had not disregarded any of his commandments 14  his entire lifetime, except for the incident involving Uriah the Hittite.
